Throg is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is a version of Thor, the God of Thunder, but as a frog. Throg’s real name is Simon Walterson, who was originally a human named Simon who was turned into a frog by a witch. He eventually stumbled upon a sliver of Thor’s hammer Mjolnir, which granted him the powers of Thor and the ability to transform back into his human form.
Throg first appeared in Thor #365 in 1986, created by writer Walter Simonson. He has since appeared in various Marvel Comics titles, including Thor, Spider-Man/Deadpool, and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.
Throg has also been featured in various animated series, including Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and Ultimate Spider-Man, as well as in video games such as Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2.
Despite being a lesser-known character in the Marvel universe, Throg has gained a small but dedicated fan following and has been praised for his unique and humorous concept.
