Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, is a popular fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. He was created by writer and editor Stan Lee, along with artist Larry Lieber and writer Jack Kirby. Iron Man made his first appearance in Tales of Suspense #39 in March 1963.
Tony Stark, the alter ego of Iron Man, is a wealthy industrialist, genius inventor, and charismatic playboy. After suffering a life-threatening injury, Stark creates a technologically advanced suit of armor to keep himself alive and protect the world as a superhero. The iconic red and gold Iron Man suit is equipped with an array of powerful weapons, flight capabilities, and advanced technology.
Throughout his comic book history, Iron Man has been a founding member of the Avengers and has played a significant role in various storylines, including the “Armor Wars” and “Extremis” arcs.
