Crossbones and Sin are fictional characters from the Marvel Comics universe, often associated with the Captain America series.
Crossbones, whose real name is Brock Rumlow, is a supervillain and mercenary. He first appeared in “Captain America #359” in 1989. Crossbones is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant and marksman, known for his physical strength and tactical abilities. He is often depicted wearing a skull mask and body armor. Crossbones has been portrayed as a formidable adversary to Captain America and other superheroes, using his skills and resources to carry out nefarious deeds.
Sin, whose birth name is Synthia Schmidt, is the daughter of the supervillain known as the Red Skull. She made her first appearance in “Captain America #290” in 1984. Sin has been depicted as a ruthless and sadistic character, often aligned with her father’s ideologies. She possesses enhanced physical abilities and is skilled in various forms of combat. Sin has been a prominent antagonist in Captain America storylines, seeking to further her father’s goals and cause chaos.
Both Crossbones and Sin have appeared in various Captain America comic book arcs and have been involved in significant events within the Marvel Universe. Their actions and conflicts have tested the heroism and resolve of Captain America and his allies.
It’s worth noting that both characters have also made appearances in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films. Crossbones, portrayed by actor Frank Grillo, appeared in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” (2014) and “Captain America: Civil War” (2016). Sin, however, has not been featured in the MCU as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021.
In summary, Crossbones and Sin are two notable characters from Marvel Comics, known for their connections to the Captain America series. They are adversaries who have challenged Captain America’s ideals and posed significant threats to him and the Marvel Universe as a whole.
