Yelena Belova is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics universe. She is a highly skilled spy and assassin who was originally created as a rival to Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), but later became an ally and friend to her.
Yelena was trained in the same Russian spy program as Natasha, and was considered to be the “successor” to the Black Widow mantle. She possesses similar skills to Natasha, including hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, and espionage tactics. Yelena is also a skilled athlete and has enhanced physical abilities due to her training.
Yelena first appeared in the comic book series “Inhumans” #5 in 1999, and has since appeared in various Marvel Comics series, including “Black Widow,” “Thunderbolts,” and “Secret Avengers.” She has also been featured in several animated television series, as well as the Marvel Cinematic Universe film “Black Widow,” where she is portrayed by Florence Pugh.
In the comics, Yelena has been both an antagonist and ally to various superheroes, including the Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. She is known for her strong will and determination, and has often been portrayed as a complex and multi-dimensional character.
