Wally Gator is a fictional animated cartoon character created by Hanna-Barbera Productions. The character first appeared in 1962 as one of the segments on The Hanna-Barbera New Cartoon Series, which also included The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, and Top Cat.
Wally Gator is an anthropomorphic alligator who lives in a zoo but dreams of living a free life in the outside world. He often escapes from the zoo and has various adventures, usually getting into trouble with other animals and humans. Wally Gator is known for his distinctive voice, which is a Southern drawl, and his catchphrase, “That’s the name of the game, folks!”
The show ran for two seasons, with a total of 52 episodes. Wally Gator has since appeared in various Hanna-Barbera productions, including The Yogi Bear Show and Yogi’s Gang.
