Scorpion is a popular character in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise. He is a recurring playable character and also one of the most recognizable characters in the series.
Scorpion’s real name is Hanzo Hasashi, and he was once a human ninja from a Japanese ninja clan called the Shirai Ryu. In the Mortal Kombat storyline, Scorpion was killed by his rival Sub-Zero during a battle between their respective clans. However, he was resurrected as a specter by the sorcerer Quan Chi, and subsequently served as his loyal servant.
Scorpion is known for his signature moves, such as his spear attack, in which he shoots a harpoon-like weapon at his opponents, and his teleport, which allows him to disappear and reappear behind his opponent. He is also known for his fiery skull-like mask and his catchphrase, “Get over here!” which he shouts during his spear attack.
Scorpion has become a fan-favorite character due to his distinctive appearance and his complex backstory, which includes themes of revenge and redemption. He has appeared in numerous Mortal Kombat games, as well as in other media, such as comic books and movies.
