Miles Morales is a fictional superhero appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, and first appeared in “Ultimate Fallout” #4 in August 2011, following the death of the original Spider-Man, Peter Parker. Miles is a Black Hispanic teenager who becomes the new Spider-Man after he is bitten by a genetically-altered spider. He possesses similar spider-like abilities to Peter Parker, but also has the ability to camouflage himself and emit a bio-electric “venom blast” from his hands. Miles has since become a popular character in the Marvel Universe, appearing in various comic book series, animated television shows, and video games.
