Lurtz is a character from J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel “The Lord of the Rings” and the movie adaptation directed by Peter Jackson. In the movie, Lurtz is the leader of the Uruk-hai, a new breed of orc created by the dark lord Sauron, who is tasked with capturing the hobbits Frodo and Sam. He is portrayed as a fierce and formidable warrior, and is responsible for killing Boromir, one of the members of the Fellowship of the Ring.
