Luke Skywalker is a fictional character in the “Star Wars” franchise, created by filmmaker George Lucas. He is one of the central figures in the original trilogy of the “Star Wars” saga, and his story is continued in the sequel trilogy.
In the original trilogy, Luke is portrayed by actor Mark Hamill. He is introduced as a young farm boy living on the desert planet Tatooine. Luke’s life takes a dramatic turn when he discovers a message hidden inside a droid named R2-D2. The message is from Princess Leia Organa, a member of the Rebel Alliance, who is seeking help from the legendary Jedi Knight, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
