Lady Death is a fictional character in comic books published by Coffin Comics. She was created by writer Brian Pulido and artist Steven Hughes and made her first appearance in Evil Ernie #1 in 1991.
Lady Death’s original incarnation was a young woman named Hope, who made a deal with the devil to save her mother’s soul. When she was killed, she went to Hell and became Lady Death, a powerful and deadly warrior queen who fought against the forces of evil.
Over time, Lady Death’s backstory and personality have been expanded and revised. In some versions of the character, she is a supernatural being who was created by the combined power of Heaven and Hell to serve as a weapon in the war between the two realms.
