Loki is a complex figure from Norse mythology who is often depicted as a trickster god. He is known for his mischievous nature, his shape-shifting abilities, and his tendency to stir up trouble among the gods.
Loki is the son of the giant Farbauti and the goddess Laufey, and is considered an outsider among the Æsir (the group of gods who are the primary focus of Norse mythology). Despite this, he is often seen in the company of the other gods, and is known for his quick wit and cleverness.
Although Loki is generally portrayed as a trickster figure, he is also associated with both chaos and creativity. He is said to have helped the other gods on several occasions, including retrieving Thor’s hammer from the giant who had stolen it, and helping to build the walls of Asgard.
However, Loki’s actions also frequently lead to trouble and conflict among the gods. He is responsible for the death of the god Baldr, and is often seen as a symbol of both the unpredictability of the natural world and the potential dangers of unchecked ambition.
