Ghislaine Maxwell was a British socialite and convicted sex offender. She was the girlfriend of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and she was accused of helping him to recruit, groom, and sexually abuse underage girls.
Maxwell was born in Maisons-Laffitte, France, in 1961. She was the daughter of Robert Maxwell, a British media mogul who died in 1991. Ghislaine attended Oxford University, where she studied philosophy, politics, and economics.
