Garnet, also known as Dagger in some versions, is a major character in the video game “Final Fantasy IX” (FFIX). Developed and published by Square (now Square Enix), “Final Fantasy IX” was released in 2000 for the Sony PlayStation and is the ninth main installment in the “Final Fantasy” series.
Garnet is the princess of the kingdom of Alexandria, named Princess Garnet Til Alexandros XVII. At the beginning of the game, she escapes from the castle in disguise as a commoner, adopting the name “Dagger,” to avoid capture by her power-hungry mother, Queen Brahne, who has plans to conquer other nations.
Throughout the game, Garnet plays a central role in the storyline, as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and growth.
