Cruella de Vil is a fictional character and the main antagonist of Dodie Smith’s 1956 novel “The Hundred and One Dalmatians,” as well as the Disney animated film adaptation released in 1961 and the live-action adaptations released in 1996 and 2021. She is a wealthy and fashionable heiress who is obsessed with fur and is determined to obtain a Dalmatian fur coat at any cost, even if it means kidnapping and killing the puppies. Cruella de Vil is known for her distinctive black and white hair and her over-the-top personality, making her one of the most iconic villains in Disney history.
