Buzz Buzzard is an anthropomorphic buzzard and the main antagonist of the Woody Woodpecker theatrical shorts. He was created by Walter Lantz Productions and first appeared in the 1948 short film Wet Blanket Policy. Buzz is a con artist who is always trying to scam Woody out of money or food. He is also very sneaky, sleazy, and sly.
Buzz is voiced by the late Dallas McKennon, who also voiced other characters in the Woody Woodpecker series, such as Wally Walrus and Chilly Willy. McKennon’s voice perfectly captured Buzz’s sly and conniving personality.
Buzz Buzzard is a popular character among Woody Woodpecker fans. He is often seen as a more formidable opponent than Woody’s other enemies, such as Wally Walrus and Yosemite Sam. Buzz is also one of the few characters who is able to get the best of Woody on a regular basis.
