Battlestar Galactica is an American fantasy media franchise.
The history of the Battlestar Galactica franchise began in September 1978, when the American ABC television channel premiered the full-length TV movie Battlestar Galactica, which is the opening episode of the television series of the same name. The creator of the new epic was Glen A. Larson (Eng. Glen A. Larson). It was originally planned to be a TV movie series, but it was eventually decided to make a full series.
