Akuma, also known as Gouki in Japan, is a fictional character in the Street Fighter series of video games developed by Capcom. He made his first appearance in Super Street Fighter II Turbo and has since become one of the most iconic and recognizable characters in the franchise.
Akuma is depicted as a highly skilled and powerful martial artist who has succumbed to the Satsui no Hado (“The Surge of Killing Intent”)—a dark and malevolent power. He seeks to constantly test his strength by challenging and defeating worthy opponents in battle.
In terms of appearance, Akuma is often portrayed with a muscular build, long hair tied in a topknot, a beaded necklace, and a menacing expression. He wears a traditional Japanese karate gi with the sleeves removed.
