Abadon is a figure in the Book of Revelation in the Christian Bible. He is described as the angel of the abyss, the king of the locusts, and the ruler of the bottomless pit. He is also known as Apollyon, which means “destroyer” in Greek. Abadon is first mentioned in Revelation 9:1-11, where he is described as being released from the bottomless pit to lead an army of locusts against the earth. The locusts are said to be terrifying in appearance and to have the power to torment humans for five months.
Abadon is mentioned again in Revelation 9:11, where he is said to be the one who will destroy the army of Gog and Magog in the battle of Armageddon.
The identity of Abadon is a matter of debate. Some scholars believe that he is a literal angel, while others believe that he is a symbolic figure representing the forces of evil.
