Miles is a young African-American and Puerto Rican teenager from Brooklyn, New York City. He is bitten by a radioactive spider and gains the proportionate strength, speed, and agility of a spider. He also has the ability to camouflage himself and produce bio-electric venom blasts.
Miles is mentored by Peter Parker, the original Spider-Man, who dies in Miles’s universe. Miles takes on the mantle of Spider-Man and becomes a symbol of hope for the city of New York.
