Hellboy is a fictional character created by writer and artist Mike Mignola. He made his first appearance in “San Diego Comic-Con Comics #2” in 1993 before receiving his own comic book series published by Dark Horse Comics. Hellboy has since become a popular and enduring figure in the world of comics, spawning spin-off series, animated films, and live-action adaptations.
Hellboy is a half-demon paranormal investigator who works as a member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.). Despite his demonic origins, Hellboy aligns himself with humanity and fights against supernatural threats that endanger the world.
