Vision Classic, also known as Classic Vision, is a fictional character from Marvel Comics. He is an android and a member of the Avengers superhero team.
The Classic Vision first appeared in “Avengers” #57 in 1968. He was created by writer Roy Thomas and artist John Buscema. Vision’s origin story involves the villainous robot Ultron, who created him as a weapon against the Avengers. However, Vision eventually turned against his creator and joined the Avengers, becoming a valued member of the team.
Vision’s appearance is distinct, with a sleek and synthetic body composed of synthetic flesh and vibranium components. He has red eyes and a yellow diamond-shaped solar jewel on his forehead, which allows him to manipulate solar energy and project beams of energy.
One of Vision’s most notable abilities is his ability to alter his density, allowing him to become intangible or as hard as diamond. He can also fly and possesses superhuman strength, speed, and durability. Vision is equipped with a sophisticated artificial intelligence, granting him advanced analytical and computational abilities.
Throughout his comic book history, Vision has been involved in various storylines and character arcs. He has also had significant relationships with other Marvel characters, most notably with the Scarlet Witch, with whom he has had a complex romantic connection.
Vision has appeared in various media adaptations, including animated television series and the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, where he is portrayed by actor Paul Bettany.
