Android 17 and Android 18 are two characters from the anime and manga series “Dragon Ball Z.”
They are both androids created by Dr. Gero, a scientist who seeks revenge on the Z Fighters for thwarting his plans to take over the world. Android 17 is originally a human named Lapis who was transformed into an android, while Android 18 is a human named Lazuli who was transformed into an android against her will.
Both Android 17 and Android 18 are incredibly powerful, possessing superhuman strength, speed, and endurance. They are also capable of energy-based attacks and can absorb energy from other fighters. However, they are not completely heartless machines, and both characters develop personalities and emotions as the series progresses.
Android 18, in particular, becomes an important character in the later part of the series and even marries one of the main characters, Krillin. Despite their origins as enemies, Android 17 and Android 18 eventually become allies of the Z Fighters and work with them to defeat powerful villains like Cell and Majin Buu.
