Bayonetta (ベヨネッタ, Bayonetta) is a slasher video game. The game is set in the fictional European city of Vigrid. The main character of the game is the witch Bayonetta, who fights with the angels of Paradiso with the help of pistols and magic, wanting only one thing: to remember everything. The game has five levels of difficulty; the two lighter ones allow you to control the character with a single key, which is similar to the “Kamiya” mode from Devil May Cry. When developing the heroine of Bayonetta, the developers were guided by modern style and fashion, and the soundtrack was recorded mainly in a cheerful and energetic style.
