The Indominus rex is a genetically engineered hybrid of different InGen dinosaurs introduced as a new attraction in Jurassic World. With his front as an attraction, he also formed part of a secret dinosaur weapons program.
The hybrid was created by integrating the genetic traits of Velociraptor, Giganotosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Deinosuchus, Majungasaurus, Carnotaurus, Pycnonemosaurus, Quilmesaurus, Viavenator, Rugops, cuttlefish, species of tree frogs and rattlesnakes, and the hollow beetle into the genome of Tyrannosaurus rex.
The female Indominus rex is the main antagonist of Jurassic World.
